The Ministry of Education considers all holiday travel either within New Zealand or overseas to be unjustified absence. Please try to avoid holidays during term time to ensure the best education for your child can continue. Ka Ora Ka Ako Lunch We are fortunate to be a part of the Ministry of Education Initiative Ka Ora Ka Ako. - Free Lunch programme. Parents are still welcome to provide their child lunch but must remember it needs to be healthy as we are a 'Health Promoting School'. We are a green school - healthy lunches only. Uniform FOR INTERMEDIATE STUDENTS ONLY (YEARS 7 AND 8) Uniform is compulsory in year 7-8 and can be purchased from 'The Warehouse' Airport shopping Centre, John Goulter Drive, Mangere. Please wear sensible black or white footwear with the uniform and any clothing worn beneath the uniform must be dark blue or black. MCS HOODIES can be purchased from our school @ $40 each. Stationery - Resource Pack Resource packs are available for purchase from our school office. All packs cost $25.00 per child - eftpos available. School Fees Our school works extremely hard to find financial assistance to support our teachers in providing a quality education. By drawing on outside support and funding initiatives we are able to provide the resources we need without charging our families. We DO NOT charge school fees. Medical If your child needs to take medication at school, we will need you to sign a permission slip allowing us to administer the medication to your child. All the medication will be kept in the sickbay. It is not our policy to administer non-prescription medicine to students at school. Please inform us if your child has a medical problem and the severity of the problem. We are particular concerned to know about children who have asthma or are allergic to stings, food or medicine. |
